I agree that wanting to write is really important - that perseverance and those ideas - and then you can do a lot to learn your craft by taking courses, looking at mentor texts, working with literary consultants, and the ever-important critique group. The hard work has paid off - yay! It's so great that you now have an agent, enthusiastic editor and illustrator to collaborate with too, to make the best books possible. We're looking forward to seeing what comes next.Natascha Biebowhttp://www.blueelephantstoryshaping.comnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3758609568631190155.post-78250325971944413772020-07-20T22:14:34.605+01:002020-07-20T22:14:34.605+01:00I can't wait to get my hands on King of The Sw...I can't wait to get my hands on King of The Swamp, Catherine. It looks fabulous! Ben's illustrations are always so good! Thanks for your post. I've never done a writing course but would be really interested to learn more about the theory of picture book writing. I also loved what you said about ideas in the 'twilight of your mind'! It does feel a bit like that when those ideas pop up! Lucy Rowland Anonymousnoreply@blogger.com
