I’m passionate about picture books. My stories have been matched with some wonderful illustrators. The best moment is seeing the pictures for the first time! I hope someone somewhere is treasuring a crumpled copy of one of my picture books the way that I treasure the books I read to my sons when they were small.
My picture books include the award winning Gilbert the Great, illustrated by Charles Fuge, Stuck in the Mud, illustrated by Garry Parsons and Knight Time, illustrated by Jane Massey. I also write early reader books and reading scheme stories and ghost write for several series including Dinosaur Cove. And lots of my poems are published in children’s anthologies.
It's great fun being a full time children’s writer and I love to visit nurseries, infant and primary schools to share my books and talk about being an author and to run poetry and/or creative writing workshops for children.
